BUILDING CONSTRUCTION 1

In this module, we are able to develop the understanding of the principles and practices of construction technology in relation to site, building components "below ground", foundation, "on ground"; floor and staircase, beam and column, wall and opening and "above ground", roof and ceiling. 

Learning outcomes

1. Define the application of building components in real life examples.

2.Infer the relationship between buildings and sites.

3. Explain complete constructional procedures of the various components of building with suitable design.

4. Compare structural elements according to the materials used.

5. Select suitable structural elements for their design project.

6.Design and apply a structural element for their design project. 

PROJECT 1- EXPERIENCING CONSTRUCTION

The first project is to understand the construction stages from conceptual design stage and produce a documentation of these construction stages. 

In this project, I am grouped with Shi Yin, Zhao Yin, Sarah, Shazleen and Jia Jou

PROJECT 2- CONSTRUCTION DETAIL & SPECIFICATION

This project is designed to allow the demonstration of knowledge and understanding of construction and application from prior projects. Emphasis in producing related manual construction drawing detail and specification. Technical knowledge is viewed as something separate from design
